One of Lexee's Legacy's most successful volunteer programs has been our Foster Program. Foster parents are an integral part of Lexee's Legacy. Some people foster a dog before they adopt (we call this foster to adopt), while other fosters help with special needs animals including puppies, injured or sick dogs, dogs needing to improve their socialization skills, older dogs, or dogs that have had a difficult time adjusting to a sanctuary environment.

• Foster to Adopt - allowing people to see how a dog will work in a home environment where there may be children or other pets
• Special Needs Fostering - Fostering of puppies, injured or sick dogs, dogs needing to improve their socialization skills, older dogs, or dogs that have had a difficult time adjusting to a sanctuary environment.
• Extra Love Foster - Our regular foster program that allows people to give a little extra love and attention to a dog and give them a vacation away from our sanctuary.
