People Making a Difference
Lexee's Legacy is a family of volunteers that are making a difference. We areCassidy professionals from the local community who love dogs and are committed to attending to the welfare of the dogs in our care. We are also creating an organization that will stand the test of time and allow us to serve the community in many ways. Without volunteers - in any and all capacities - Lexee's Legacy would not exist and would not have achieved the milestones that we have.

Volunteering at Lexee's Legacy is fun and rewarding. We have volunteers who contribute to the organization in various ways. We are always looking for talented and committed people who are looking to make a difference. We currently need volunteers to help us with...

    • Mobile pet adoptions
    • Animal care
    • Community education
    • Fundraising
    • Marketing
    • Organizational development
    • Newsletter creation
    • Picture taking
    • Fostering
    • Adoption follow-ups
    • Other activities that we haven't even thought of yet!

If you have a passion for animals and are committed to seeing a vision grow and flourish, please contact us.

Foster Program

One of Lexee's Legacy's most successful volunteer programs has been our Foster Program. Foster parents are an integral part of Lexee's Legacy. Some people foster a dog before they adopt (we call this foster to adopt), while other fosters help with special needs animals including puppies, injured or sick dogs, dogs needing to improve their socialization skills, older dogs, or dogs that have had a difficult time adjusting to a sanctuary environment.

One of Lexee's Legacy's most successful volunteer programs is our Foster Program. Foster families are an integral part of Lexee's Legacy. We have three programs...

    • Foster to Adopt - allowing people to see how a dog will work in a home environment where there may be children or other pets
    • Special Needs Fostering - Fostering of puppies, injured or sick dogs, dogs needing to improve their socialization skills, older dogs, or dogs that have had a difficult time adjusting to a sanctuary environment.
    • Extra Love Foster - Our regular foster program that allows people to give a little extra love and attention to a dog and give them a vacation away from our sanctuary.

We are always looking for quality people that have a little extra room in their house and a little extra love to share! For information on becoming a foster, please contact us.
